DREAMING SINCE KIDS

Paco and Andrés, friends since school, built a strong bond rooted in brotherhood, friendship, and family values. Their enduring connection grew through shared childhood experiences with the same group of friends.

2019

CHASING DREAMS

United by their passion for caribbean food, Paco and Andres set out on a culinary venture driven by innovation. Bored with ordinary traditional food, they aimed to make something special—an experience that would change how we eat today.

FIRST STORE

Nothing was easy at first. 9 out of 10 saying it would fail, but they pressed on, turning dreams into reality. Unwavering commitment led to the first spot in Hato Rey. In a small 16×8 trailer, they beat the odds to make their visionary concept a big success.

DOORS OPEN

On December 15, 2019, Trópiko officially opened after completing the entire menu. It was past 9 p.m., even though the opening announcement was at 7 p.m. Andrés opened the ventile door for orders, and to our surprise, there were already 50 people in line excited to try our food. That moment marked the beginning of something truly extraordinary.

NOTHING IS STOPPING US

In just 3 months of operation, they encountered two earthquakes and a pandemic. Against all odds, they persevered, reinforcing their concept, making adjustments, and boosting sales. Despite challenges, the restaurant became one of the most notable brands in 2021.
